Important notice to all purchasers. This policy must be read in full before purchase, fitment, or use.
Vitour Motorsport is the official United Kingdom distributor of Vitour tyres. The products supplied are motorsport and high-performance tyres intended for competition, track-day, and specialist driving environments. They are expressly sold on an as-is basis for such use. No warranty, guarantee, or assurance is provided in relation to performance, grip, wear, tread life, heat resistance, lap time, consistency, or resistance to damage. By purchasing, accepting delivery of, mounting, or using any such tyre, the purchaser confirms that they understand these tyres are not supplied with the protections ordinarily associated with standard road-going consumer tyres.
To the fullest extent permitted by the laws of England and Wales, Vitour Motorsport gives no warranty and accepts no liability in respect of motorsport tyres regarding performance, wear, degradation, delamination, blistering, graining, overheating, pressure loss, structural change, or any form of damage arising from use. Tyres are subjected during competition and track use to extreme heat, load, slip angle, camber, braking forces, and surface conditions that are outside the scope of any ordinary manufacturing warranty. Accordingly, all standard coverage in respect of performance outcomes, expected mileage, or damage in service is expressly excluded at the point of sale.
Warranties applied to conventional road tyres are designed to address manufacturing defects or accidental damage occurring during normal highway use under manufacturer-specified conditions. Motorsport and competition tyres do not operate within that environment. They are engineered for controlled stress in sporting contexts where variables including temperature, pressure, setup, driving style, track surface, and vehicle configuration materially affect outcome. For that reason, manufacturers, distributors, and retailers across the industry exclude motorsport products from the guarantees that apply to everyday road tyres. Vitour Motorsport applies the same principle without exception.
Without limiting the generality of the above, no claim shall be entertained where failure, damage, or dissatisfaction arises from or relates to any of the following: (a) Competitive use, including track days, timed sessions, sprints, hill climbs, rallying, drifting, circuit racing, or any organised or private sporting event; (b) Improper operation, including incorrect cold or hot pressures, excessive camber, unsuitable wheel width or offset, suspension misalignment, or mechanical defects of the vehicle; (c) Road legality, including use on public highways where the tyre is not approved, marked for off-road or competition use only, or otherwise not lawful for the road; (d) Fitment and installation, including incorrect mounting, balancing, bead seating, torque procedure, or use of incompatible wheels; (e) Environmental and track conditions, including kerb contact, debris, oil, water, surface temperature, or abrasive or uneven track surfaces; (f) Wear and performance variability, including uneven wear, reduced grip over time, or any difference between expected and actual on-track behaviour.
Vitour Motorsport tyres are supplied for sporting and competition purposes. Any use on a circuit, test track, airfield, private course, or closed facility in connection with timed or untimed running, driver training with performance intent, or regulated motorsport activity places the tyre outside any warranty framework. This exclusion applies whether the event is organised by a third party or undertaken privately. Once a tyre has been used in such circumstances, any subsequent request relating to tread loss, heat damage, puncture, sidewall marking, or loss of performance will be refused.
Tyre pressure is a critical operating parameter in motorsport. Failure or damage attributed to under-inflation, over-inflation, incorrect hot-pressure targets, failure to monitor pressures during sessions, or departure from manufacturer or distributor guidance constitutes misuse. Vitour Motorsport accepts no responsibility for outcomes where pressures or vehicle setup fall outside recommended parameters. Damage arising from wheel spin, lock-up, flat-spotting, or excessive slip attributable to setup or operator error is excluded from any form of remedy.
Certain Vitour products may be designated for competition or specialist use and may not be type-approved for use on public roads in the United Kingdom. Use of a non-road-legal tyre on the highway may constitute an offence under road traffic legislation and will automatically void any prospect of warranty remedy. Purchasers are solely responsible for confirming legality for their intended use before fitment. Vitour Motorsport accepts no liability where tyres are used otherwise than in accordance with applicable law.
Exclusion applies where damage or failure follows incorrect mounting, demounting, balancing, bead seating, torque sequencing, use of inappropriate equipment, or fitment to wheels of incorrect width, offset, or specification. Vitour Motorsport recommends that tyres be fitted only by a qualified tyre technician using procedures appropriate to performance products. Any claim asserting manufacturing defect where inspection indicates fitment-related trauma, pinch damage, or bead disturbance will be declined without further review.
This policy is governed by the laws of England and Wales. Nothing stated herein excludes or restricts statutory rights that cannot lawfully be excluded where the purchaser is acting as a consumer and mandatory protections apply. However, where tyres are purchased for motorsport, competition, or track use, the purchaser accepts that the nature of the product and the conditions of use materially limit the applicability of remedies that might otherwise arise under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 or equivalent legislation. Vitour Motorsport does not accept that dissatisfaction with on-track performance, rate of wear, lap-time contribution, or competitive results constitutes a breach of statutory quality obligations.
Vitour Motorsport does not operate a warranty claims process for motorsport tyres in respect of performance, wear, degradation, or damage arising from use. Enquiries received in relation to such matters will be acknowledged only for administrative purposes and will not be progressed to inspection, credit, replacement, or pro-rata adjustment. This position is a material term of supply and is communicated to purchasers before use. Persons who do not accept these terms should not purchase, fit, or use the product.
By completing a purchase, accepting delivery, fitting, or using a Vitour motorsport tyre, the purchaser confirms that they have read and understood this policy in full, that they accept tyres are supplied on an as-is basis without warranty as described, and that they will not submit a warranty claim in respect of performance, wear, or damage in circumstances falling within these exclusions. The purchaser further confirms that they assume full responsibility for suitability, setup, legality, and safe operation.
